FAQs

  • How do I renew my loans?
    Renewing and return dates can easily be checked and done online: Go to: https://kewtoylibrary.setls.com.au/ Click green ‘login’ button below the logo, or 'sign-in' button at top right-hand side of page. Enter your email address and password (how to re-set your password) Once signed into your member page click your surname shown at top left side of screen. Click 'current loans' in green panel to view your current loans. Toys that can be renewed have 'renew' buttons. Click 'renew' to make any renewals. If toy has exceeded maximum number of renewals this is shown in the loans table and you cannot make further renewals. View a quick video guide Each family may borrow up to the maximum membership allocation for three weeks. All borrowed toys (except new toys) can be extended online for another three weeks, once only. If you fall ill and cannot renew your toys, please let us know via email at info@kewtoylibrary.org.au. Our Co-ordinator will extend your loan for another three weeks.
  • I’ve forgotten my SETLS password, how do I re-set it?"

To change your password, click your surname (displayed top left of screen),and then 'username/password' link on the green panel on the left-hand side of the screen.   • How do I change my SETLS password?
    You can change your password once you have signed into your member page. To change your password: Click your surname (displayed top left of screen) Click on the ‘username/password' link on the green panel on the left-hand side of the screen.   • How do I complete my roster duty?
    You can view available roster duty sessions and sign up online: Go to: https://kewtoylibrary.setls.com.au/ Click green ‘login’ button below the logo, or 'sign-in' button at top right hand side of page. Once signed in to your member page click 'calendar' to view toy library opening hours and available volunteer/roster duty sessions in the current month. Click ==> to scroll forward to view future months. Available sessions that require volunteers have 'self-nominate' buttons. Click button for desired session. A pop-up appears on screen to confirm the session you nominated for yourself and an email is sent to confirm this also. You can click on the calendar again to check/confirm your volunteer/roster duty session. View a quick video guide.
  • How does the rostered duty work?
    Kew Toy Library relies on members to volunteer just four hours (two roster duties) a year, so that we may continue to provide this valuable community service. Volunteer sessions can be completed at the toy library during opening hours, at fundraisers, special events or working bees. If you don’t think you’ll have the time to complete the two sessions, you can pay a $60 roster exemption levy instead.
  • What happens if I lose a toy?
    If you can’t find a piece of the toy you can return the toy without that piece and bring the missing piece the next time you are at the Toy Library. A deposit may be charged for missing pieces, bags or toys which will be refunded when the piece is returned. Cases of major loss or damage are treated individually.
  • What happens if I break a toy?
    There will be a fine depending on the toy's value and lifetime in the toy library. Every damaged toy is treated individually. We do not replace batteries at the Toy Library, but we assume all battery functions work when fresh batteries are used – if this is not the case please let us know.
  • What are your overdue fees?
    An overdue fine of $1 per toy per week applies if toys are not returned or renewed before the due date.
  • Are there any other fees?
    There is a $5 per toy cleanding fee if toys are rturned dirty.
  • How long can I borrow toys for?
    Toys can be borrowed for three weeks. All borrowed toys (except new toys) can be extended online for another 3 weeks, once only. If you fall ill and cannot renew your toys, please let us know via email at info@kewtoylibrary.org.au. Our Co-ordinator will extend your loan for another 3 weeks.
  • Are gift vouchers available?

  • What if I don’t have time to do the roster duty?
    If you don’t have the time to complete the two sessions (four hours), you can pay a $60 roster exemption levy instead.
  • Do I have to come to the toy library to volunteer?
    No. From time to time, we can offer offsite duty options like BBQs, events or toy cataloguing at home. Please email our Co-ordinator info@kewtoylibrary.org.au if you would rather complete your duty offsite.
  • Can my partner/mother/father or in-laws volunteer on my behalf?
    Yes. Anyone (over 15 years old) from your family can volunteer on your behalf.
  • What can I do if I cannot volunteer at all?
    We know life is busy. Although we can offer offsite duty options (BBQ, events or toy cataloguing at home), you can also pay the roster duty exemption levy ($60) if you cannot volunteer.
